According to the latest economic indicators snapshot, the U.S. economy continues to maintain a robust scale, with data including projections for 2025. Nominal GDP (in USD) reached 30,770 billion dollars, recording a 5.0% increase year-on-year. Nominal GDP per capita also reached 90,026.5 dollars, an increase of 4.5% year-on-year. Real GDP growth rate was 2.2%, showing a 0.6 percentage point slowdown from the previous year, but continuing solid economic growth. Correspondingly, real GDP per capita growth rate was 1.6%, a 0.2 percentage point slowdown from the previous year. The total population stood at 341.78 million people, an increase of 0.5% year-on-year.

Turning to price trends, the consumer price inflation rate for 2024 was 2.9%, a decrease of 1.2 percentage points from the previous year, indicating a tendency for inflationary pressures to ease. Regarding the employment situation, the unemployment rate for 2025 rose to 4.2%, an increase of 0.2 percentage points from the previous year. On the fiscal front, government debt as a percentage of GDP for 2024 was 115.8%, an increase of 1.0 percentage point from the previous year. In terms of the balance of payments, the current account balance for 2025 showed a deficit of -3.6% of GDP, but improved by 0.4 percentage points from the previous year (meaning the deficit narrowed). The total trade to GDP ratio was 25.0%, with only a marginal increase of 0.1 percentage points from the previous year.
