Italy is a republic located in Southern Europe, bordering the Mediterranean Sea. It holds a strategically important position, bordering continental countries such as Switzerland and Austria to the north, and connecting with North African countries via the Mediterranean Sea to the south. This country, rich in history and culture, operates its economic activities against the backdrop of a diverse industrial structure encompassing manufacturing, tourism, and agriculture, as one of the major economies within the European Union (EU).
As of 2025, the Italian economy reached a nominal GDP of 2,551.5 billion dollars, with a nominal GDP per capita recorded at 43,308.6 dollars.
