The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known as the UK, is a constitutional monarchy located in Northwest Europe, and its capital, London, has established its status as a global financial center. Historically, it built its manufacturing base as the birthplace of the Industrial Revolution, but in modern times, it has transitioned to an industrial structure where service industries, such as advanced financial services, IT, and creative industries, account for the majority of the economy. This background is a factor supporting the UK economy's international positioning and development.
Looking at the UK economy in 2025, nominal GDP (dollar-denominated) reached approximately 4 trillion 26 billion dollars, recording an 8.3% increase year-on-year.
